2011 Tag Day
Envision Unlimited held its second annual "Tag Day" on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Because of the support of some very special volunteers, the 2011 Tag Day doubled the revenue generated last year.
Our efforts were bolstered greatly this year by the powerful support from Northwestern University and their inaugural "Day of Service." Graduate student, Jessica Sopko coordinated the efforts of nearly 500 student volunteers who braved a cold and rainy afternoon to serve as donation collectors at 27 locations across the city. Envision is truly honored to be one of Northwestern University’s initial "Day of Service" community partners. We hope to collaborate on similar events in future years.
Envision Unlimited extends our sincere gratitude to all 500 of the Northwestern volunteers who stood for hours in a chilly, steady downpour to advance the well-being of the 1,500 children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities whom we support.
We would also like to thank the other dedicated volunteers who provided their whole-hearted support to the event, including Jean Elliot, Donna Ennis, Sean Evans, Tom and Lauren Evans, Susan Gardner, Dan Kennedy, Mary Kay Krupka, Elli Panagopoulos, Helga Strains, and Pat Verhoestra.
