Over 90% of the people we support are economically disadvantaged or reside in low income households. The limited funds that these families have go toward the purchase of the most basic of necessities so the smallest gifts are appreciated greatly. Grant the gift of a smile; be a hero for someone. Get to know your elected officials.

Visit Congress.org and type in your zip code to find all of your elected officials. Write a letter, call or email your State's Senator and Representative. Tell them you strongly support community-based services for people with developmental disabilities and ask them to support a Cost of Living Increase and additional state funded services for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals and their familes.

Tell a friend about Envision.

You are a friend of Envision. You know we support 1,200 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago; 92% of whom reside in low-income households. Tell a friend about why you personally support the work we do.

Support Community-based Jobs for a Person with Disabilities.

Nationally and locally, 75% of adults with disabilities are unemployed. Is there a job at your place of business? Ask around. People with disabilities often thrive in positions that typically have high-turnover rates. Shop at businesses that employ persons with disabilities and tell them it's the reason why you shop there!
