Foundation Donor of Distinction

In March, the Boeing Employee Community Fund of Chicago promised a generous gift to Envision Unlimited in support of our Horticultural Program.  The check was presented this April. The gift will allow up to 200 people to garden year-round in a brand new greenhouse located on Chicago's Southside.  Later this month, Envision will attend a luncheon and speak to the large group of employees who contribute both their time and money to help make community initiatives like this possible.

Thank you Boeing Employees Community Fund of Chicago.

In February, the Northern Trust Charitable Trust made a generous donation to Envision for general operating support.  The trust has a long history of aiding the areas and peopleof Chicago that are most in need.  We are proud to partner with Northern Trust in an effort to make our communities more equitable, more beautiful and to eliminate disparities in health, education and economic opportunity.  Please click HERE and view page 8 of the Trust's annual giving report!

This August, The Special Kids Foundation of Chicago invested in Envision Unlimited’s Foster Care Program.  Their generous pledge to help fund our Respite Care initiative will provide relief for numerous families who have bravely chosen to adopt children with disabilities.  The gift will be awarded at a ceremony this September.

Much like Envision Unlimited, the Special Kids Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of children with special needs to help them reach their full potential.  They believe that "with special education, speech and physical therapy, integrated respite, camp, theater, vocational training and assistive technology these children can grow to be healthy, productive and more independent adults."  This is a sentiment which we are proud to represent.  We look forward to a healthy partnership in the years to come.

<%-- Field Foundation

The Field Foundation of Illinois has continued its strong support of Envision with a $15,000 grant award in support of Envision's Arts Program. This is the third consecutive $15,000 grant. Over the past three years, the Field Foundation has been instrumental in expanding the benefit of self-expression through creativity for the people Envision supports.

The Field Foundation seeks to provide support for community, civic and cultural organizations in the Chicago area, enabling both new and established programs to test innovations, expand proven strengths, or to address specific, time-limited operational needs.

Indeed the Field Foundation provided support to Envision in this exact way: first to test a programmatic innovation and then to expand the proven strengths of the agency’s multi-faceted arts programming.

""We thank the Field Foundation of Illinois for three years of generous support of the arts and our artists. They were one of the primary reasons that Envision was able to offer our first 12-month arts program in 2007. The Field Foundation first provided continuous access to the arts and through their support, allowed Envision’s arts program and its artists to grow and flourish…the aggregate benefits have been nothing shy of remarkable."

Kristin V. MacRAE, President and CEO

We thank the Field Foundation of Illinois for its generous, consistent support of Envision arts programming. Through their investment over the course of three years, Envision was able to create and expand a top-notch program with tremendous benefits to men and women with developmental disabilities. For making this possible, the Field Foundation of Illinois is indubitably a most prominent Donor of Distinction.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Inc. has continued its support of Envision with a $5,000 grant award to Envision's "New School" Arts Program. The funding will enhance the Arts Program's array of services and afford our artists with the opportunities to hone their skills and experiment with new media. This grant follows last year's grant of $5,000 in support of the 2007-2008 Annual Appeal.

Bank of America is committed to creating meaningful change in the communities we serve through our philanthropic efforts, associate volunteerism, community development activities and investing, support of arts and culture programming and environmental initiatives.

"We thank the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for its recent support of the arts and our artists. The ‘New School Arts Studio’ has been 100% grant-funded by fine philanthropic entities such as Bank of America and this vital support has opened new doors of creativity and self-expression."

Kristin V. MacRAE, President and CEO
